About Us
Rosanky is a quiet rural community 10 miles west of Smithville, TX (S.H. 535) and 13.6 miles south
of Bastrop, TX (S.H. 304.) We moved here from Austin in 1999 and found our own little corner of
"heaven on earth." Our home is located on 14 acres covered with coastal grass and a pleasant
scattering of oak and pine trees. Nestled among an oak grove, we have a pond stocked with catfish
to entertain our children and grandchildren who like to fish. In the spring and summer, we grow and
bale our own coastal hay to "ensure" that quality hay is fed to my horses and those of our outside
boarders. And yes, in Rosanky, the stars at night are big and bright and the sunsets can take your
breath away. We truly love it here.
Since we are both retired, we spend our days enjoying our favorite pastimes. Dave enjoys fishing
and playing golf and I'm "into" horses. I trail ride, show, work with our "boarders" and currently
am training my 2003 APHA Buckskin Paint Gelding, Salute The Gold. Meet "SALUTE."

We have two grandchildren who share our lives.......
Michael is in the Army and is
currently stationed in Georgia
taking satellite communications
training. He plans to make
the Army his career. We are
very proud of this young man!!

McKenzie attends Smithville
High School and is my "riding
buddy." In 2010 she was the
BFRC Rodeo Sweetheart,
and enjoys showing and
trail riding. She is
active in sports and likes
"cross country" running
the best.....

Last but not least - my husband Dave who over the years has supported me in all of my
"horsey" endeavors..... You other "horse" ladies out there, know how lucky I am. He is
so loved and appreciated by Michael and McKenzie too......
